Business Intelligence Specialist (initial 12 month contract)

About the role:

Reporting to the GM of Optimisation, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence reporting and self-service analytics capabilities. You will provide essential support to the business by using data analysis and reporting to drive insights and decisions that improve our service operations.

You will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders and business leaders to identify business optimisation initiatives, deliver reporting solutions and support the business in implementing key analytical initiatives.

The role is initially for 12months but there is strong likelihood that it will be converted to a permanent position. Our office is based in Bella Vista and we can offer a mix of office and work from home.

You will have:

  • Advanced scripting in SQL Server experience and proficiency with Microsoft business intelligence stack (SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS);
  •  Strong SQL skills, proven ability in extracting and analysing large data sets;
  • Experience in database performance tuning including complex query optimizations and physical database tuning using SQL;
  • Demonstrated experience with complex data extraction and analysis of data using Salesforce;
  • Demonstrated experience in data analytics, statistical and quantitative modelling for the purposes of business analysis and decision support, preferably in a health-related field;
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and work collaboratively with key business stakeholders on analytics projects, including understanding and refining requirements and effective presentation of results to non-technical stakeholders;
  • Experience creating and maintaining business reports and dashboards;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, or IT, and;
  • Exposure to Power BI highly regarded.
